The ba-score standard
Dogfood Digital LLC is developing ba-score as a versioned, published scoring standard for small-business website health, accessibility-first, with a whitepaper to accompany it. This page is the honest status of that work today — not a preview of the standard itself.
Current status — read this first
The scoring machinery behind ba-score exists today and is versioned internally, the same way the scan engine itself is versioned. What does not exist yet is a set of calibrated thresholds. Turning raw scan output into a calibrated score requires a minimum real-scan observation period of at least 14 days, and that observation period has not started.
Until that observation period has run its course, there are no published threshold values. A versioned standard document exists and is unpublished; it publishes when the operator ratifies it, not when the observation period ends. A whitepaper draft exists and is unpublished; it publishes when we are ready to accept paying clients, not when the observation period ends. Unpublished is not "does not exist," and it is not "in development, not available."
No public scans have run. There is no public scan history behind this page. No third-party before-to-after delta has been measured or published; the rebuilds we have measured are our own properties, and owned dogfood is not a cross-customer corpus. This page is a status and methodology surface — not a live score, not a third-party gallery, and not a certification.
What you can rely on today
- Every scan identifies itself transparently — see DFD-ScanBot for exactly how.
- A site's
robots.txtis honored before any page on that site is requested. - Scoring is tied to a versioned scan engine, so any number the standard eventually produces can be traced back to the exact code that produced it.
- Before/after claims will only ever come from measured scans of that same site — never a projection or estimate presented as if it were a measurement.

What's coming
This is the direction of the work, not a schedule:
- A published version of the ba-score standard, with an accompanying whitepaper.
- Calibrated thresholds, developed only after a real observation window of actual scans has run.
- A public methodology, so the standard can be checked rather than taken on faith.

Nothing on this page is a claim about any specific business's score — no business, named or unnamed, is scored here. Nothing on this page is a claim about how much of the small-business market has been or will be scanned. This page describes the state of a standard under construction, and nothing more.
